I've never even tried foie-gras, not sure if I want to though haha. Australia is pretty good with using local ingredients, especially meat and dairy products.

I've missed really good pho since I've moved to NYC. I've been to phogrand on grand street twice and it's pretty good, but does anyone have any other recommendations worth trying?

I'll give you _one million_ imaginary bucks if you write a cute review and add a video or some photos. It's one of my lifelong dreams to eat there

Sushi Saito is a Michelin 3 star sushi restaurant and it is the best sushi that I’ve ever had in my life.

all the bean/lotus ones have the same texture to me. yes, the salty egg yolk is nice, but the 4x yolk moon cakes must be off the calorie charts..

due to the light dinner last night was pretty hungry this morning; just had a red wine beef brisket stew with steamed rice for breakfast - was very comforting to revisit this childhood favorite (beef cubes!)

Nice! Please give us a report if you have some time! Also, glad to see Avenues got 2*, Curtis Duffy's blog is always pretty inspiring.

Side note about Zagat - Sushi Zo topped LA restaurants? Something's off...It's very good but definitely not that high. There's a lot more deserving restaurants.

I'd be curious to see how the Michelin ratings compare...but no Michelin for LA this year? Of course Vegas i can definitely understand them passing over, but LA has some great restaurants. From the other side, i've heard that some restaurants in Tokyo opt to forego Michelin ratings. Apparently, Michelin's most accurate in Europe, but doesn't hold quite the same authority outside? Regardless i've been told Alinea's definitely worthy of 3*.
