Ladies, help me out - why is it that I see either 4 inch heels or ballet flats? Where do you go for the happy medium? Whatever happened to delicate elegance?

It does seem this is the case, although I have noticed lower heels this season. Dries has some gorgeous sandals that are a very wearable height (one style is on the way - I'll post a pic soon). Lanvin also has lower-heel styles this season. I'm hoping this is the beginning of a trend, as it's nice to have a mid-heel option. As much as a love 4 inch heels, it's difficult to wear them for too long.

rider - the Jil Sander flats are great. What did you decide to do about the Ann sandals?

@merz : I think it's because mine are bone-colour with a very decorated heel. if they were black or flat or more simple or even darker, I would wear them a lot more I think.
these I just like for the crazy factor, but would probably never wear except once or twice to go dancing
