the post is just such a piece of crap though. It's got to be the methadone of the newspaper world.

Obviously, I am using my educational discount ;-)

I am a New Yorker, so I need to know what's going on in New York, so it's NYT for me. And again - if we don't pay for quality journalism, we will end up with a bunch of blogs and Fox news.

The building is stupid though - I agree. I wonder how much money they have sunk and if it will ever pay off. And it's in such a SHIT area!

Good one. I had to choose a costume for carnival because a friend was celebrating his birthday at that time. In cologne. No escape from carnival there, so first costume for two decades. I was surprised that i had almost everything in my closet to do Alex. Pretty easy to do and it came out pretty good. I skipped the jockstrap though...

here's hoping the new york times continues their studies on how major US companies avoid paying taxes. the gov't needs to grow some balls and explain exactly why american companies find it more profitable to lobby congress and set up offshore headquarters to avoid paying taxes rather than invest in their own country and resources.

Seriously, how epic was this G.E. article? For fucking shame, man. This is one thing that absolutely rattles me about Obama - his inability to take the corporate America by the balls.

On a side note, it's articles like this that I will happily pay for. No daily beast or fuckington post or other shit rag cum glorified blog can do this.

Excellent article for sure. Marcy wheeler consistently puts out pieces of this caliber, Yves smith at naked capitalism does with some frequency.
