Ann now has a "classics" line like Blanche for Men, called Grise. You can see some pieces here, all slightly conservative/dressy basics at slightly lower prices than most mainline. The tags are greyed out which is a nice detail I think.

Experience Ann Demeulemeester's timeless elegance and avant-garde designs. Explore curated collections where each piece embodies rebellious spirit and contemporary aesthetics. Redefine your style with modern luxury and individuality.

I am curious to know the country of origin, if it is all portugal, or somewhere else to achieve an even lower price.

Saw it at the showroom last time. It's not like Blanche though, which are the reissues. This is just a suiting capsule. I don't quite get it to be honest.

shame it's not a blanche for men - such a thing would make me empty all my coffers, and raid those of my friends & family, to secure all the precious grails i've missed over the years [ed: well, from SS06 through FW09].

i'll go back to dreaming now.

              Split from BVBA 32

Pretty sure 'the corner' is stocking some of the Gris items as well. I was surprised also about the suiting! Don't see why it's necessary... Noir sounds like a great name tho. I'll dream with you guys :)

Didn't see this posted on the forums-- http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/2013/06/...t-from-bvba-32

Somewhat vague on how it will affect the brands, production, etc... I don't have any idea

My guess is we'll see Haider Ackermann in the LVMH stable of brands within a year.

Perhaps a response to a specific market then? Asia? Reissues would have been so much more interesting.

are Ann's hats produced in house or by someone else?

Most are made with Elvis Pompilio I believe

1987 was the starting point in the career of the hat designer Elvis POMPILIO. From a simple show room to boutiques in Brussels, Antwerp, Paris and London and worldwide distribution: major Department Stores in America (Bergdorf, Saks, Bendel, Barneys, Neiman Marcus ...), the best Boutiques in Europe and a network of points of sale in Japan including Takashiyama, his business has expanded very quickly to an annual average production of 30.000 hats, hand made.

:) This current season really has to be seen in person to be appreciated for what they are-- the short hair on the bowlers is incredible, the shape, quality, etc

Who needs religion when you have Ann.
