Vrubel - Demon Seated
An amazing at least 2.5 meters wide painting which stylistically is very ahead of its time - and the depth of purple sky and blue robe is very intense in original, as apparently Vrubel added bronze powder to his oils for the luminous, glistening effects.
Saw it Musee D'Orsay in Paris but apparently it is a permanent piece in Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow
