in regards to sizing up, do the lace up boots get any wider, or only longer? after sizing up 1.5 i find my horse lace ups still a touch too slim and constricting... wondering if i go up another size if they'll be too big all around...

I found the lace ups in 43 to fit a little tighter maybe than the side zips in 43, not a lot and could also be due to the different leather, but I feel like I could have gone up another half size at least and been okay.

Just got my new guidis back from the cobbler, stunning job with the vibram's... but alas I now also have shinny buffed sole and heal rands. That are a deep black, they were grey...
Will the lovely textured leather layers appear again? Or are they now consigned to my memory?

^^ look at it this way...you'll just have to wear your guidis more to get them scuffed up again.

... just wondering if the grey will come through over time and the layers? Mine are really jet black now..., yours just look polished

I just bought a pair of 988s in horse, I really like the matte and somewhat grainy texture. It's my first pair of horse leather though, I was wondering how to protect it. Should I just spray them with some regular leather spray to protect them from water? And what about after some wear, leather balm or just leave it be?

Many just leave them to weather, I use a leather conditioning cream every now and then. Keeps them soft and pliable without adding any waxes, etc. (only oils). I use Pecards.
i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans

Whats the difference of the 968/986 model and the 211?

                    thanks

Both are the same height and backzip boot, the 211 has the front top of the foot stitching whereas the 968/986 does not have any.

if you ignore the heel, the information is accurate. you can specify the heel height on most models, taller heel being the 'Z' heel

the soles on the 211 seems scuffed up more. and gives it a more worn look. i personally like the look of the 968/986 more.

On the foot comparison, personal I prefer the 211 style for an ankle boot.

Wow interesting. I guess I dont ever tuck in my jeans/pants to see that. Very nice there!

I have a 988 which is similar to the 986 and I prefer stacking look with this boots.
