it's buggin u because death is seriously scary stuff and not something we are used to experiencing firsthand anymore. sorry u had to see that. i saw that gunship video from iraq again on the news the other day - u know, the one where they gun down two cameramen and a van with kids in it. kinda makes u want to be able to rinse ur brain clean...

It's interesting to me how there seems to a distinct difference between the idealized model of violence portrayed in the popular media and real violence. We've become so desensitized to the broader concept of violence and there's always been this vague, macabre fascination with it in popular culture. However, when one is exposed to actual violence, even through video, I'd say most people are taken aback or made at least somewhat uncomfortable.

I somehow saw stills of decapitation on a tumblr and the reaction was more or less "...the blood is squirting out like a hose"

it was disturbing but probably not as much as it should have been.

My ex (now friend) and her boyfriend are going. I think it's a hilarious idea, and I'm surprised that the organizers pulled it off!

i'm sure it'll be fun and i suppose it's the best way to do a cruise if you ever do go on one, because it's not fun being stuck on a boat with people you don't want to have to relate to.

could you imagine if this ship were to go down though. all the black t-shirts, greasy hair, and denim would make the BP spill look like a joke. it'd be cool to see pelicans and sea turtles in denim vests on tv though.

+1, can't really see but the high heel version of MMM tabis have round (cylinder) heels.

Sometimes there's nothing better than being on your own. Just popped a beer, put my headphones on and started spinning some vinyl, of course I'm maneuvering all of this from my favorite chair.

Beer needs porn thread next...
