I've been trying to find pictures of her work for a while... It looks very interesting, although Ann has done many similar knits in the past. Is it women only? -Edit yes it is.

Can we please stop with this ridiculous nonsense,

      Grandmothers have made similar knits
No name small town knitters have made similar knits
whoever does knitting have made similar knits.

is there no possibility of viewing someones work, and taking it on its own merit without falling into this kind of approach of comparing it to some other designer from a certain select group of designers?

Those are really beautiful! Thanks, een. But I am not sure about the "handmade" thing - are these actually knit by hand?

I find it quite beautiful and really interesting.
The knits look very anatomical, even more so than brands that specialize in that aspect.
The knitted pattern on the third one really reminds me of muscular fibers.

of course they are, machine knit cannot achieve this kind of chunky effect

I'm saving this one up, filed under 'ADVANCED "UR MOTHER" RETORTS'.

Great stuff. Actually there is onegreat designer in Georgia. Her name is Nutsa Modebadze and she made something like that but mostly with leather. But Alice's garments I think really freshy and wearable.

Alice Lemoine in The Knitting Land

                    Marco de Rivera:
                    Why "Le Moine Tricote"
                    Alice:
Because my Brand is only about knitting for the moment.
It allows to be independent in my research and in the production. And that also gives a messy look which I like.

                    Marco:
Does Esmode Tokyo gave you the messy taste?
                    Alice:
No, I was already very draft before going there but I wished rather the opposite, to learn the patience.

                    Marco:
So this collection is a rare Collection?
                    Alice:
Yes, each model takes me a lot of time to realize because I work only in 3D.

                    Marco:
What is the woman whom you dress?

                    Alice:
The first one is myself then for other women who want to feel free in a comfortable garment and to be confident.

                    Marco:
Which is the key for this collection:
                    Alice:
In a general way I work on the articulation of the body and on the soul.

                    Marco:
Where can we buy the collection?
                    Alice:
In Paris at Colette for Summer, and the next collection will be international.

The (carded cotton/wool blend?) sleeves on the last knit is a very nice touch. Thanks for sharing B!

I was referring to that "skeletal" attribute, not to the fact that they're knits. For what it's worth, I agree with you
