Heavy Modification of a Attachment blazer

So i've been looking for a good casual jacket to wear throughout the day in the summer.

i've went around to local tailors asking for a cotton/linen blazer they refused to do any sort of bespoke jacket, they also refused to modify an existing jacket. seems the art of tailoring has really turned into glorified hemming here in Southern California.

so im just doing it myself, the back panel will be 100% solid black linen.

First Step Remove the lining, and see what needs to be removed:

I'm a huge fan of natural shoulders in menswear, seems thats its a rarity amoung tailored wear, So i tend to remove shoulder pads. here is a picture showing me doing so

Much less stufy looking than the first pic, no lining here and no pads:

Removed the panel stich by stich, making sure not to damage the jacket. removed this panel to trace onto the linen that is replacing the panel

Decided to retain the hidden snap pockets near the label. 2 front panels of the jacket will have about 6 inches of lining top to bottom. Hoping it won't be too hot.
