    Ann-Sofie Back

Feel free to add any previous work by her.

I'll be posting some pictures from the vernissage of the exhibition "Everything must go!", which moved from the Röhsska museum in Gothenburg to Kulturhuset in Stockholm recently.

The exhibition features a store where you can buy for example garments from her previous collections, fluorescent condoms, shirts, lighters, water bottles, chewing gum, dildos, toilet paper and shampoo. Everything branded in the BACK theme.

Since Ann-Sofie won the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg designer prize in 2014, works by a few previous winners are also displayed.
Click here if you wanna read some more about it.

Oh yeah, she's also the creative director behind Cheap Monday.

Except for the Henrik Vibskov jumpsuit, which is somewhat funny, I honestly don't see the point. Most of it looks previsible and random at the same time.
Maybe you could explain a bit - "I like it" being a really short answer.
I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.

Explain what I like about it?
Didn't think a shitpost deserved a longer response. My momma taught me to stay away and be quiet when I see stuff I don't like.

Many of the pieces are parodying the celebrity culture of the early 2000s, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan etc. I like the way she combined culture criticism with a few cool pieces of clothing.
The clash of trashy, plastic pieces of shit coming together with neat second-hand materials. Simple dresses with details only in the construction or sparse jewellery.

I don't see these as looks ready for the catwalk or the street. I see innovation in textures and some nice ready-to-wear coats.

Good enough? Thought I'd leave the criticism to the forums users.

                          a) Explaining what you like about it is prerequisite to being on this forum.

                          b) Fashion and cultural criticism is the second dumbest concept in the world, the first one being fashion and political activism.

                          c) This "cultural criticism" looks like window dressing for the clothes that look pretty ugly. Show me great clothes first, then let's talk about their meaning.
Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

All of it looks shoddy. From design to construction... hardly interesting.

most of this looks like somethind i'd see at a shitty tailor in the display window. at the end of the day clothing that's "supposed to look trashy" is still just trashy.
