Re: What are you wearing today?

explicit, I like this one alot. Curious about the sizing of the Diors though, did you size up alot? Because my 21, and any others I've seen come to think of it, look quite a bit slimmer....

      thanks nairb49.
i bought the 21s true-to-size, but i'm pretty sure i'm larger than most everyone else on the board (size 34 on the 21s). i've worn them about 6 months now so they're pretty stretched and due for a wash.

the strap is to strap it to your thigh.

The salesperson told me the same thing, the strap is to strap it to the thigh. But it does not seem working when I try to sit down with the strap.

I have to say i think that this isa perfect look.I especially like the white buttons on the cardigan. Is it Prorsum? of the other Burberry lines. The gloves are great, and the white sneakers work - it keeps the look young.

well done merz, the whole outfit works well.

-quick question on the cloak surveryor bag, have you figured out what the other lower strap is for? [the one that hangs off below the bag] I have this bag as well and I can not figure out its use.

            [/quote]

It's to put around you waist to keep the bag from flapping when you run. At least this is what the authentic surveyor bags had it for. If you'd watch some Soviet films about 1920's or WWII you'd see a lot of that.

EDIT: Saw others' responses, I guess strapping it to your thigh would serve the original purpose as well.

I wear the same size in diors, maybe i could fit in a smaller size but i'm not a big fan of the skinny look, i like the way they fit on you

                    thanks, gutpocho.
i don't think i could pull off a skinner look with my upper torso being as wide as it is. the 21s are slim without being tight (which, on me, would have a sausage-leg effect). were i thinner i'd probably go with the 19s or at least size down 2 on the 21s.

here's a more straight-on look at them, if it helps show how they fit on me:

Re: What are you wearing today?

Oh, I definitely didn't intend to say they look bad, quite the opposite actually, I was just curious as to difference in fit.

                      Edit:add in the outfits

                      To work:

                      Paul and joe v

                      label under construction pants
                      vintage shoes

I've a sizable collection of shoes from the 1910's/20's. those are, according to their box 'military-heel' boots

a few examples here, pointy & bulldog toe button-ups - the kind of stuff slimane has been trying to rip off lately, though I found his versions looking like something you'd find in the 60's. I've been thinking of offering some part of my collection up for sale in the coming weeks - most of it is within US 7/8 range - do you think there'd be interest?

I'm right between a seven and an eight, and I'd very much be interested (depending on the price, of course). Where do you manage to pick these up, if you don't mind my asking? If you do, feel free to ignore this post.
