Limelight club interior in New York. One of the coolest spaces
I've ever been to. It no longer exists as Limelight, now it's
Avalon. I don't think the room is there anymore.

<edit>can't access the picture now, will try later.

I thought the EXACT same thing. I've been to Tokyo a dozen times and never even heard of the place. It definitely is on my list for next time.

It was on his site, hrgiger.com, but it seems to be down. google?

He also did a room at Limelight, which was incredible - one of the coolest places I've been to. Limelight is called Avalon now, I'm not sure if the rooms is still there. Unortunately the images are only on the said not functioning website, but you can take a peak through google image search.

One of my favorite singers had her stage designed according to a painting by giger, here's some pix (the best i could find, to show the statue):

Ddid you ever see the "Cathedral" Giger made in Switzerland. now that's impressive. His fusion of the biological and mechanical and the weird sexual feelings it conveyshas been a real influence on fringe artists working in a variety of media notably cinema and writing.

First documentary is about his work.
At 41 min starts a second one about his work on Alien.
Both documentaries were made by Giger himself.
