Fashion magazines

I tought it would be nice to know which fashion magazines people read.

I recently read (mostöy just looked at the pictures since the hardly were any text) a japanese streetfashion magazine, but I don't remember the name of the magazine. It was just some adds and the rest where just picturest. Does anyone know which one I'm talking about?

Yes, I think A is the most consistent one, although I did not really like the last issue.

I don't like any of them consistently. I like i-D's editorials fairly often. Surface will have something nice once in a while. I wouldn't subscribe to any of them though.

Has anyone seen He magazine? I've never heard of it, but I paged through it at B&N in new york. Looks pretty good, had lots of Patrik Ervell stuff featured from the ss 07 collection, it looks even better in the mag than the runway show. Lots of neat details you can't tell from the show pics. They also featured some cool Raf stuff in a shoot. I would have bought it, but half the mag is F/W 06 and I have enough mags showing the same clothes.

I'm glad there is a fashion magazine thread started. I just wanted to vent about the lack ofa good mens fashion magazine out there. I just picked up 10 Men and the photoshoots were ridiculous.Half the models were either mostly naked orshot in positions where you couldn't even see what they were wearing. I mean, i understand the need to be artistic but if i wantedthose kind ofphotos i would buy a photography or art magazine. I buy fashion magazines for fashion.They really need to find the right balance between being artistic and utilitarian.

And dont get me started on the editorial, i mean its just a bunch of stories by a group of horny, middle-aged, gay men casually talking out of their asses. Iknow this is a gross generalisation, sorry if i offended anyone, and occasionally they do have a few interesting articles, but its just annoying when you spend5 pounds on a magazine that you end up flipping through in 5 minutes.

Any suggestions for anything better?

Yes. Don't buy them. I haven't bought a magazine in about two years. I just go into Borders during my lunch break sometime, pick one up, have a seat in a chair and flip through it.

And I agree about the homo-erotic stuff - that's nothing new.

Bump. What have you been reading/looking at? I just picked up AnOther Magazine and it's really good. I haven't bought a fashion magazine in over a year, but this was worth it. There is an absolutely brilliant editorial shot by a young Belgian photographer Willy Vanderperre - truly stunning.

I actually use SZ and livejournal as my fashion magazine. It's free and beats any magazine with horselengths. So much better.

the ones i regularly pick up are Bon International, Purple, and an i-D once every few months.

I really liked hobo magazine but everyone in houston dropped them after the 4th or 5th issue.
