Burberry Prorsum FW 07/08 - Milan

I must say, it's not bad. I think I am beginning to think of Bailey as a solid (not great) designer.

I also like it when designers actually show warm clothes for FW. I know it's too much to ask for some, but I like it.

Yeah, i like the styling, good stuff. And it looks like he had all the models wear red and green contacts. That or the camera has serious red-eye problems. Nice touch. It gives the models a little bit of that edginess that is also present in the collection.

looks like a sort of cross between marc jacobs and junya to me.

I like this coat this look a lot for some reason.

This is so dark and aggressive. Burrbery has gone medieval:-P

The military woolen short coats with big buttons are very Zara like. (I saw a lot of big buttons in the street right now, must be Zara:-)

And thequilt tricks on nylon/leather look good when youand the clothes are both thin.

I do like the matt - shiny, blk /greycombinationtho.

You are right Johnny, about the MJ feelling. But MJ has turnedto YSL for "inspirations" lately. I see some Pradaish things, too.

Prorsum is always a bit Prada-ish, in its menswear and womenswear.

I like this very much. I agree, he's consisitently good but never extraordinary. His styling and color combos are always top notch. I thought the men's show was good, but Ilike thisbetter, the military influences came out too literally at times in the menswear.

huh, i'm surprised by how much i actually like this. it's solid, and a bit edgier than i'd expect from such a "mainstream" brand. i agree with casem in that i like the womens collection better; but i still think there are a few decent looks in the mens runway show (i'll try to find pics later).

That's true, especially menswear. Come to think of it, Menichetti is also a bit Pradish. I wonder if all Burberry designers get indoctrinated? :-)

The menswear show has its own thread, feel free to resurrect.

I don't like this--it's too heavy and glitzy. I much prefer the more distinctly English stuff he did in fall 05. This reminds me of Gucci. :(

What if you mentally take away the shiny gloves?
