    Reasonably priced raw edge t-shirts?

    Hi guys,

I was just wondering where I can find some raw edge t-shirt for everyday wear?

I hope 'raw edge' is the word I'm supposed to be using for this, but basically I'm looking for hems similar to those used in ma+ t-shirts.

That being said, I can't really afford / justify paying MA+ prices for something as basic as a t-shirt, so any reasonably priced suggestions would be great!

Attached is a picture of the neckline of a MA+ t-shirt in case my description wasn't clear.

    Thanks so much!

you could create one by taking a cheapo shirt and just cutting the collar?
Did you get and like the larger dick?

I forgot to mention this in my original post. I tried doing this to one of my cheapo american apparel tees but what happened was the edge started curling up because there wasn't any stitching.

This curling problem doesn't seem to happen with the MA+ tees. I'm guessing they have some sort of stitching that prevents this and keeps the hemline straight?

i'll try that out. thanks, faust.
anyone else have any other suggestions? thanks!

I think MA+ just uses a more rigid cotton and not super duper soft like AA does.

T shirts like those are very easy to make yourself.

the curling issue on the edge of the shirt has to do with the type of Fabric used to make the shirt.

try some wool jersey, cotton jersey or a double ply 2-way stretch cotton, those are knits that retail their shape after cutting.

Thanks Zamb. However, I'd like to stay away from any DIY stuff when it comes to tees. I'd prefer just to purchase and wear. Thanks for your help though!

                  neat shirt!

The more I look at the MA+ shirts, the more I realize it can be done pretty easily. It'll be an upcoming attempt (at least something similar in concept... using large pieces of precision cut fabric to create items that wrap around the body.).

the attachment shirt is reasonable in price for the realm of brands/items that we are talking about... not the most terrible buy

not that this post is in any way relevant, but the curling is the best part!

Thanks Tims! This is an awesome shirt, but I'm afraid a bit too small for me. I'm usually a size 48/50 in most tees. In any case, I appreciate the thought! :)

Albert? I'm very very interested in seeing what comes out of this project :)
