mixed feelings.
nice to see that BBS moves on, but as long as it is perceived as a cross between Rick and Tatsuro. hope that Lowrey will shed more light on the details of this collection.
and it looks like something that Austin tossed to BBS before the show...
hmm...

dont like his new collection at all ! He moves in a new way , more like
gucci or prada for me ! piece of crap. Where is dark influence ? although he began to moved away starting from this SS12 collection.
Of course maybe he tries to move in a new way but not in that way, its my opinion.

I'm gonna wait on Lowrey's resolution too. I've learned that especially with BBS textiles that Lowrey's shots are the only ones that do them justice.
I like the white formal jackets and the sliced vents etc, but what bothers me is that both Julius and BBS are going this direction, which doesn't really make it "next level". It's not so novel when everyone is doing it at the same time. I also agree that this collection is missing the "dark" edge. I don't really care about goth/ninja/black or any of that, but it's still very commercial in many senses. Very much, in contrast, to the F/W collection which seems quite novel w/r/t to color palette, textures, and construction.
I don't hate this collection, but I just think it's definitely borderline "standard" male clothing. There seem to be elements from the Tisci Givenchy collections from 2008-2010? mixed with Dior and a even a little oldschool Lang. Nothing wrong with that at all, just very unexpected from BBS. If this were a Givenchy collection I'd be very excited, but from BBS I'm underwhelmed. Also, it's partly the bland pants that make this collection seem confined within standards.

First reaction: I hate this. It's too restrained for boris... too refined... Not what I expected at all.
I do like some of the items though but this seems like an odd direction for him to take. Boris is usually my favorite but this is a low point for the season (personally speaking)

Ow I've been in love with Boris always but this is too formal for my taste. There might be some pieces worth having a better look at but I don't really feel this, too little streetwear for my taste.
Make me a bit sad because I got all excited when seeing Boris Bidjan Saberi S/S 2013 on front page but arrrh...

his collections reminds of this
also where is a perfomance ? Boris everytime shows his collection in a new way ! but this is a standart show.Originally posted by Unexist View PostWhen i saw it first time i thought photos are not BBS but from another designer ? Than i found whole show and was really upset about it !
Boris is really "What a dissapointed"
the photos make it look a bit more sleek than it was imo, but it was obviously a more formal take than what we've seen before. unfortunately my pictures aren't much better as I was in a really bad spot. I might put up some highlights tonight. I'll post more thoughts after the showroom tomorrow."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."
