I quite like this, although I kind of agree about the jersey...but then again, I like jersey. For some reason though, this reminds me of Yohji.
That wrinkled blazer above is one of my favorites as well."because the young are whores. dealers come to carol to get the rock"

It started out very monotonous (not to be confused with monochromatic) - all those jersey drapey stuff seems so amature for him - but it ends on a better, but a tried and true, note. Not one of his strongest shows for sure.

It's a bit drab for Junya, no? I'm a fan of wool jersey too, but I don't think it's doing his brilliant construction much justice here. [76]
I can see where this reminds you of yohji, Cas...the palette, the houndstooth, the dropped shoulder shapes, etc. The material undoes it a bit though, as it just doesn't seem like a very graphic or strong silhouette.
This little vest/shawl thing is a favorite....i suspect it will be in my sights come fall. [64]

Heh, interesting - you mean the headgear? That shit is distractive.

I'm rescinding a little. I love the simplicity of it, more and more as I look at the details. The tailored jackets are great. I think it's the lack of color, rather than the material, that's bringing me down a bit....I mean the ephemeral, the fugitive, the contingent, the half of art whose other half is the eternal and the immutable.

It's the reverse for me - nothing wrong with the color if it was done in more vibrant fabrics... so to speak :-)Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
