slightly off topic... where can I buy riri m6 zippers in the city?

edit: or what's the largest (tooth) size riri makes?

they have a representative in the City, but if you are not buying wholesale they wont sell to you,
                  for retail the is
                  MI JU SEWING CORPORATION,
                  306 W 37th St (bet 8th & 9th)
                  212-695-7122

                  Or
                  Sil Thread Inc.
                  257 W. 38th St., (bet 7th & 8th)
                  Tel: 212-997-8949

there may be others but cant remember right now as these are my first check for whatever i need. Sil thread also offers a service of cutting the Zippers to your length specifications, though its YKK for this service and not Riri

If you're looking for riri zippers, there are only two places (retail) that I know always carry them and they are:

Panda International @ 247 W 38TH ST (a few doors down from Sil)
                    and
Pacific Trimmings Inc @ 218 W 38th St (aka across the street and over from Panda)

their supply is less constant than other zipper stores, but they usually have a decent collection and if you need riri their is really no other place to go....

just had my first zam tailoring experience and it definitely will not be the last. he was able to shrink a 3d seamed piece almost two sizes smaller PERFECTLY. I mean, this is now one of (if not the) best fitting pieces that I own. dude's even got an overlock machine so he was able to precisely replicate the original stitching. I'm honestly in disbelief at the quality of work.

I cannot recommend this service highly enough.

EDIT: faust, maybe consider moving this thread to the shopping/personal style section?
