Pleue: makes good sense. But this talc/hair powder, what is this? Could you give a good brand name so that I can read about it and what it contains and actually do? (I'm quite allergic you see :))

Well some people use pure talc (baby powder) that you can find in grocery stores etc, it also helps to keep your hair in good condition. But there is also talc that is made particularly for hair. For example I've heard alot of compliments about Schwarzkopf's Osis+ "Dust It" hairtalc and sure there is some other alternatives too.. As for the dry shampoo I highly recommend Tigi's Rockaholic "Dirty Secret".

Sometimes I wish I had the commitment to do something interesting with my hair. Used to have it relatively long but always looked messy.. Just keep it super short with a little facial growth.

After I found a washing routine that suited my hair type I just let it live its own life. It grows longer and when it starts bothering me or get to worn i just take the scissors in front of the mirror and cut some here and there. The nice thing with thick curly/wavey hair is that nobody notices if you fuck up with the cutting and i dont really mind the messy look

I usually keep it shorter than shoulder length because it always get so worn by then... Maybe if i take care of it better i could try to grow it longer, I would really like to try that sometime.

"Face cover comb over". Light from the computer screen does the weird gray color.

                          great thread.

my hair was fucked up so i decided to go to the barber last week for a fresh start as i want them really long and they need to be healthy for that. was a good decision, even if i'm sad too loose a bit of length.

since that day, combing after shower, minimum use of hairdryer , oil mask... a new haircut too, with natural curls and a bit of wax.

Looks good man. I'm growing mine out too, it's past my chin when straight, but because of the curl comes to the end of my nose at the moment. Trying to get it past my shoulders, so I got a long way to go yet. Thinking I may have to get a trim soon too, can't be having messy ends. Thankfully not split ends or anything so far.

is anyone else on the board a hair stylist? i would be willing to field questions again but just wanted to talk shop with people of a similar aesthetic perspective. things get pretty hum-drum at the salon sometimes!
