i use strictly aveda because it's very natural and derived from organic flowers and plants. it's good for your hair without all of the nasty chemicals that will ultimately make your hair feel awful. my suggestion is to try out the aveda smooth infusion shampoo/conditioner for starters with the damage remedy daily hair repair right when you get out of the shower and it's still damp. depending on the look you want i'd either using aveda be curly curl enhancer with a dab of mens liquid pomade for hold OR phomoliant with some of the liquid pom for hold as well. the curl enhancer will bring out the curls with a wheat protein that expands when wet and contracts when dry to control those unruly curls and give them some structure. tresemme will feel heavy/dry and wont leave your hair feeling the best. i suggest making switch to aveda or purology. they're a bit more expensive than tresemme but your hair will thank you for it in the long run. aveda has really rich products so less is more with these. if you have any products/styling questions/whatever then just ask away. i check the board pretty frequently.
also regular 1/4"(or less) trims to clean everything up are suggested. i like the way wild untrimmed hair looks but i eventually had to cut all of mine off because it looked like a rats nest of split ends and tangles when it got down to my chest and i had never cut it.
