i use strictly aveda because it's very natural and derived from organic flowers and plants. it's good for your hair without all of the nasty chemicals that will ultimately make your hair feel awful. my suggestion is to try out the aveda smooth infusion shampoo/conditioner for starters with the damage remedy daily hair repair right when you get out of the shower and it's still damp. depending on the look you want i'd either using aveda be curly curl enhancer with a dab of mens liquid pomade for hold OR phomoliant with some of the liquid pom for hold as well. the curl enhancer will bring out the curls with a wheat protein that expands when wet and contracts when dry to control those unruly curls and give them some structure. tresemme will feel heavy/dry and wont leave your hair feeling the best. i suggest making switch to aveda or purology. they're a bit more expensive than tresemme but your hair will thank you for it in the long run. aveda has really rich products so less is more with these. if you have any products/styling questions/whatever then just ask away. i check the board pretty frequently.
also regular 1/4"(or less) trims to clean everything up are suggested. i like the way wild untrimmed hair looks but i eventually had to cut all of mine off because it looked like a rats nest of split ends and tangles when it got down to my chest and i had never cut it.

Heirloom, you look really good. Your hair is beautiful, it suits you perfectly.

I usually prefer less extreme/stylised hairstyles. But if you can pull it of, then go for it.
My own hair is nothing special, it's so lightweight. I hate it.

I love Jean-Pierre Leaud and I really like his hair in this photo:

          Again, I prefer simple hairstyle.

Haven't washed my hair for 2 months now since joining the army.

It's not even that greasy any more. And i even have hair till just above my chestline.

                Grossssss

Do you just rinse it? Does it itch and smell like sheep?
I hate the smell of dirty hair

That's funny, because when i mention it "grosssss" is, naturally, peoples first response, but nobody has ever told me that my hair is looked greasy.

Actually, my hair is pretty much like it was before. It has days where it's more greasy and days where it's like it's just been washed. Silky smooth. Doesn't really make a lot of sense to me to be honest, but who cares.

Not itchy and no rams are chatting me up.

What kind of army allows you to have long hair?
Why on earth have you not washed it for two months?

My hair is slightly shorter than yours n i wash it at least twice a week and rinse daily.

The danish army where we still have the draft.

It's only 4 months and we don't get to see any "action".
Not that a couple of my sergents wouldn't like to assault me with a trimmer..

I stopped washing it because i had to make a knot of my hair to be accepted, and when newly washed my hair turns all electric and stray hair is frowned upon.

                          Do you rinse it though?
I'm the opposite, I wash it everyday, besause it only curls when it's freshly washed and I like a bit of bounce on my head. Therefore, split ends are the bane of my existence

mine was down to my mid chest/upper back; cut it now so its on the shoulder, might go up to the jawline in the next week or two. Trimming your hair keeps it in such better condition; i realise this after two years of not taking a pair of scissors two my head.

I was mine fully with a conditioner and three times a week, and once a week or so i use a hair mask that removes a knots/tangles etc. Kheils seem to be pretty good and not too pricey. The thing i fuck my hair over is i tie it back straight after the shower.

Does anyone have a solution of curling hair? This annoys me and I have to make it straight.
And i have really a big head...

to sustain nice, consistent curls i find the best trick is create twist curls. what this does is creates tighter, more consistent curls by bundling hair together by twisting with product which dramatically reduces frizz while maximizing the hair's potential to curl. first you should comb through with a wide tooth comb after showering. towel dry and apply moisturizing product (aveda be curly curl enhancer) in pony tail first and then roots with remaining product to allow maximum results while not building up in the crown. then use a light gel with little or no alcohol (aveda confixor) in the same manner as before, and comb all product through. now split the head in halves, and with a clip section out everything except for a one inch section of hair around the ears. twist 1x1 inch sections clockwise to create a curl, and do so forward until you run out of hair. work your way up the head in the same way and repeat on the left side. do the same in the back but pull the hair more forward to allow for easy twisting. you can diffuse slighty to dry and keep body in the roots, but if you're operating on a time restraint then just air dry. i know this is a very patrick bateman rant, but i'm a hair stylist.

p.s. varg is the man. burzum's genius is immeasurable.
