merz this is one of mine,Im in the process of taking it up a few inchs to allow for easier wear when we cut it some areas were 6 or 7 layers thick!I like this one as it has a very slim arm so it works well for wear,Im considering extending the arms also at some stage,I also recently got some notu jofu fabric from the early 1900's that I want to piece together to make a new jacket from the hand is fantastic.

Seenmy: did you see this little scrapbook of turn of the century japanese fabrics - probably owned by a traveling merchant, I have? It is nothing but a joy to flip through.

Traditional Asian womenswear is something that seems to have influenced or at least indirectly informed - as far-fetched as this may seem - the silhouettes of Cristóbal Balenciaga to both the silhouettes and fabric choices by Marvie, as seen in this Marvielab jacket that I sometimes wear in the spring and fall with an obi wrapped very casually to close it.




I may be slaying some sacred cows in (nearly?) objectifying myself in a way some people might find weird (by wearing something reminiscient of a kimono paired with an obi within city limits), but eh, it keeps me warm.

i love the picture, there is something about the alien looking hand and the yellow light. from that angle, it looks like some alien with yellow vision looking down on his hand. very extraterrestial :)
