I totally agree with your point that using non-standard models often leads to more focus on the models themselves rather than the clothes, which can turn the conversation into a social commentary rather than a discussion about the actual collection. The same social norms in menswear aren't as rigid yet, allowing more flexibility for designers to experiment with different representations of masculinity.
