thanks man, I'm already well aqquainted with myfonts.com, and already tried that...it couldn't even come close to giving me a similar font.
It looks a lot like "din", but the m goes all the way to the baseline...

recently discovered this site. not sure how it works, havn't used it at all. but from what i've understood you get to "remix", change, upload and download free fonts.
you might be able to tweak your way into the damir doma font.
