Notes: Junya Watanabe started showing in Paris in 1993. He designed his first collection under his own name in 1992.
This top presages themes that will recur in later collections, specifically in the tartan plaids seen in AW 2004. This top also represents an early example of the technique of boiling fabric for which CDG were pioneers.
