Everything about this appeals to me, and I echo merz's sentiments that I dont often hold my breath when clicking on threads like this. The colour palette is really beautiful and the even the patterns work for me (which is not often the case). The volume achieved in the pieces also further ads interest to the collection and is complimented by the range of textiles, some which look incredibly fragile and others which look wonderfully strong.

I would love to know more about the designer also.

Before launching her eponymous label in 2005 in London, Uma Wang studied at China Textile University and Central Saint Martins. She also designed for Chinese labels for 10 years, where she developed her signature knitting techniques and defined her own style and aesthetic.

Since launching the brand, Uma Wang has received critical acclaim for her shows and presentations in Shanghai,London,Paris, and Milan. She has become a leader in the Chinese fashion industry by consistently producing high-quality products and collections that always balance fashion with functionality. Uma Wang is particularly skilled in mixing and matching different fabrics and textures to create simple but strong garments with subtle detailing, and it is these unique abilities that has positioned her to become the first internationally successful Chinese designer.

Yeah, just randomly clicked on the thread, too, and I'm really taken by a lot of the pieces.

The knits and silhouettes are beautiful. Only thing I find irksome are those two red knit sweaters that are styled without proper use of the sleeves, which is slightly shidiculous.

wow - one of the best collections i've seen in a very long time (and like everyone's already said, from someone way out of left field). i liked the styling quite a bit, especially on the first red sweater (the arms tied together) - but maybe that's just because of my editorial background i like stupid stuff like that.

makes me wish i was a woman and owned it all. although the leggings pulled down all the way over the heels gives me a little 80's vibe...

I like the huge oversized knit-dress with the hole in it. Not really a fan of the fit of the lower body monochrome leggings though. Bow-legged and going past ankle point looks awkward.

Also, not regarding the clothes themselves, anybody know the name of the model?

This is beautiful! Great designer. The mixture of different fabric and textures create a strong garment is stunning. I just browsed the websites and I found this on her SS10 which is similar to Damir's stuff

                      This is amazing!

There's a lot of novelty in this collection and it's so coherent. Makes me happy to see a designer taking risks yet pulling it all together. This isn't just another continuation. Love the materials too.

                      I want to see more!

yeah pretty sure those shoes are United Nude ...

overall quite an impressive collection, what I like about it is that I get an overall sense of humour from the clothes, they're structural but whimsical at the same time. Reminds me of some past seasons of V&R, but not pedantic in any way.

ditto @genevieve : some of the knits have got to go, too costumey
                                It's absolutely Hedious!
