How To Clean Taupe Suede Women Shoes ?

Hi guys

I accidentally dropped a fork with 2 drops of gravy on my missus's shoes. Yeah im an idiot >_<
was wondering how can she restore/clean it ?

She tried dish washing soap and now part of the suede is like scrapped off. I assume the dish washing liquid was too concentrated

Similar to shoe and colour below. Will try take a photo of the actual shoe

1) used water, hand soap and tissues to try clean
2) water stains and light gravy stains were still on there, then went home and used dish washing liquid. I should've known better

Is this completely ruined or salvagable ?

It's more likely that the suede is "mattened" instead of "scrapped off",
try treating the bold spot with some sand paper and it might recover.

since its probably oil based on a light color you likely are in deep shit and owe her another pair.

Go to a cobbler...that's what they're there for.

there are products that are made for cleaning suede, you can get one of those sprays and a suede brush and find a video on youtube on how to do it. but cobbler is best option imo

I managed to get several spots of blood off a taupe suede jacket by very lightly dabbing it with peroxide on the end of a Q-Tip. My cobbler got motor oil off of the same jacket, though, so that is probably a better idea.
