Hello Zeitgeist!
Posting work for the first time online, I never wanted to make things for others, for years made things and designed things for myself, but I feel very inspired to reach out for criticisms, ideas, interest in general.
This pair took some time to create, the concept was to create an all around fall garment pair, eliminating the need for a scarf with a high neckline, and creating something rugged enough to handle northeast winters. The fabric is a super heavy duty cotton, dual layer with a cotton fill, and trimmed in leather and nylon. Super heavy industrial zippers and buttons are used to complete the piece, then the entire garment was waxed to further the wind/water resistance. I'm inspired by people like Zam, and Poell, and would like to create work that is interesting, but serves a very specific, utilitarian type of function.
