What would one do when they are seeking a fairly specific / potentially non-existent item they cannot find through existing channels?

I have a dream of a clutch/wallet hybrid that I cannot seem to discover manufactured by any of my preferred brands - or even other brands.

The closest thing I've found is the RO long flap clutch with the credit-card slots, but I'm extremely anal retentive and need more storage, card slots and a compartment for coins. It should be big enough to also hold my phone, keys, a lipstick, business-card holder and maybe some headphones.

I cannot handle the idea of all of these items loose and entangled within a single compartment pouch

Would one try to find an independent crafts-person to custom make something? Or simply do without? What are everyone's thoughts?

A friend of mine had a Dior wallet that could hold her phone, keys and cigarettes as well. I remember seeing someone with a similar thing from chanel. It definitely exists, probably even in less luxury brands.

I have seen Nico Uytterhaegen do a woman's clutch that made me green with envy. It was stunning with that copper detail.

I absolutely adore Nico Uytterhaegen's work, but I find that his work is incredibly difficult to source online. His website doesn't list any stockists... I might e-mail them and hope they can assist!

Yes, do that. Maybe they'll make one for you.
You can also contact The Recollection in Antwerp and ask them. Tell them you are from SZ - we are friends.

ahn, I just realized I have a Yohji one from years ago that fits your exact criteria (even has a detachable chain strap), so perhaps looking in that direction may be a way to go.

and I just saw this one which may suit you as well but I cant see any cc slots.

Ah how perfect. I will keep my eye out and expand the search! I wish I could see inside that Margiela clutch...! Thank you for all of your assistance.

ahn, I think you will like Txell Miras' work then.

Years ago you could find her work in the US and it hit a chord with me. My favorite skirt in the world is by her. She is able to mix tailored cuts with asymmetric lines so her clothing conforms without being too conformist.

I hope you enjoy the link.

My wife is looking to buy a pair of leather pants. She is not really a clothing enthusiast, but I want to make sure she gets the "best".
She currently has her eye on a pair by helmut lang (~$1000)

Are there any other brands to consider?

Apologies if this has been discussed recently or is in the wrong thread. I am not familiar with the womens side of the forum

                                Thankyou
