been listening to a lot of ip guy n horizontal ground shit lately
still one of my fav tracks, cant help but dance whenever i listen
also lots of spinnage with the new head high release. everything rene touches turns to gold.
Ya, being from Detroit, techno means a lot to me.
Lately been jamming tracks from kontra musik.
and yea, Head High - Megatrap is bangin.
i don't know why, but i've been playing this track in my dj sets over and over again.
i can't get enough of it - maybe it's the train whistle sample
^ Small world =) That's way cool tho, ever since I discovered and started following the label about 3 years ago, I've been continually impressed release after release.
Been listening to a lot of stuff on Opal Tapes, Violet Poison \ Violetshaped and L.I.E.S. recently. Shifted double LP from last year was solid as well. Into a lot of the more minimal \ darker stuff. Heard the new Plastikman record is solid
Techno is one of the few reasons making me happy to live in Germany
Excellent taste.
Recommandations (if not known already): Tesla Tapes, Digitalis Recordings, Submit Recs.
Some nice drones:

nah, man. for me 90s techno was all about that noisy rawness - that obnoxious bpm, 909 hat abuse to the max, and percs all over the place. as apposed to the slower bpm n more precise approach more modern technos been aimin for (not all obviously). cutting up the wave forms of dozens of different kicks to create the 'perfect' mutant kick on some daw, droppin just the right amount of reverb on some real vague synth hit, n all of that lovely stuff. not saying im not a fan of good production value, im still a big fan of the 'berghain' style music, but i think my love will always be with that bust a nut in your face, 10bpm too fast, 90s techno shit. although i did get to see orphx, drumcell, sigha, henning baer, n alien rain last weekend. it was damn good. was still groovin my ass off to the shit im talkin 'bout lol. just lately been listening to way too many of the same sounding berghain mixes to and from work.
anyways
BOOM
edit: that clark - superscope vid/track is cool as hell. been messing around with frequency-interactive visuals with my hardware set up too. passed up the opportunity to pick up a pretty good oscilloscope for cheap a while ago. kinda regretting it now lol.
