Ark Sakura by Kobo Abe - picked it up for the plane ride back to Providence after watching Woman in the Dunes a few weeks ago.

Surprisingly perfect for the ride - couldn't help but read cover to cover.

I had to read it for class two weeks ago but I never finished it. It's such a pretentious book. I feel like the author is bragging with every reference.

Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer.

Ugh! He's trying way too hard and not succeeding at all. I can't believe someone thought this would make a good movie

Rereading The Lord of the Rings. Such great escapism - it totally immerses you in a different, enchanting world.

It really is a terrible loss. I bought Concrete Island from a half priced book store when I was in 8th grade. I think I'll have to re-read that this weekend.

The road passed you by by about a year - dig back - it's an SZ classic.
