This is great. The more I look at this collection the more I like it. I enjoy the bursts of color (the red!) amongst the beautiful black coats. The coats fall so elegantly on the body. A little surprised to see cropped, skinny-ish pants but it seems to work well.

djrajio can you tell me more about Lupin and/or the anime/manga artist who is famous for this drawing style? I am still trying to work out the knits..

let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.

His name is Shotaro Ishinomori who did Kamen Rider. Actually I was mistaken though because Daft Punk Discovery was done by Leiji Matsumoto, who did Galaxy Express 999. But you can check out some of his work here: http://www.ishimoripro.com/

It must be the simpified version.

It actually looks cleaner and less complicated, which I like better. The washed wool/nylon blend? give it a nice texture.

man the more i look at that black DB coat w/ back pleats, i can just picture myself strolling slowly down Ometosando wearing that coat unbuttoned, an untucked black shirt, black pants and C Diem boots smoking Gaulouises furiously and I'm looking down on the ground in a contrived manner, LOL

That's the coat I meant in the other Yohji thread - you should definitely check it out.

If ever I was to wear a red coat, this would be the one. I really like this collection, I've stopped in the store in Soho a few times and there is lots to drool over, too bad I've sworn off such expensive things. Even the cartoon sweaters have kinda grown on me.

Wow, I love those pants with the knit cuff at the ankle. I've seen the cargo styled ones but never those. Anyone know the price of those?

                              I'm guessing they're bank...
