The jacket underneath looks really nice , so im confident now there are going to be some standout pieces when the collection hits stores. Reminds me of the bomber jacket i missed out on from ss07.

It is amazing that the clothes here in pictures look kind of stiff, boxy. It was much more natural and softerin the show. Very poetic and beautiful.

But she frequently uses symmetrical shapes which would give of a boxier appearance .

I mean the clothes look more "constructed"esp. with the shoulder line here in pictures. It looked softer in the show, maybe bc of the fabrics.

I'm liking Ann's method of using tailoring equipment as accessories on the lapels of her outerwear in this and last collection. This time it's half a scissor. Pretty cool!

Hi, my name is Ann Demeulemeester and I lost my edge. This is so safe for her it hurts me to have to look at it. The balance between Eros and Thanatos has completely disappeared, leaving the garments as empty representations of a flattened stereotype of ?romanticism? with some touches of dadaism (mostly the confusing styling and geometric patterns). To go from deconstruction to representation is an enormous step back.

Definitely some beautiful individual pieces, but, as much as it pains me, I agree with Fuuma's review. I scrutinize Ann's work closely, and I am the first one to dismiss the superficial "it all looks the same" comments, but this is really stagnant.
