So, what is the cost of dying a leather jacket? $200-$300?

I remember reading that some one dyed a leather cloak jacket and the cost was around 300.
Yea, that was me with the cloak jacket. The complete re-dye job cost $265 at this place:

It
looks really good now, they totally saved the jacket. The only
difference is they got it a slighter darker grey which doesn't bother
me, and the quality of the leather is now slighty different, it's not
so soft to the touch anymore.
I almost bought this jacket so I'd love to see an "after" photo if you've got one!
bumping this -
anyone have tips for DIY leather dyes or kits? looking to dye a grey leather jacket black
or is it significantly better to have it professionally done?

friend dyes lots of stuff black. its not that easy and requires lots of tests to get things close to where you want them. i would say professionally if you care about the jacket
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
I think Tarrago dye is pretty good for leather. I know girls that have dyed their balenciaga bags from a light to a darker color and the result is pretty amazing, especially since the appeal of these bags is the thin, soft leather to begin with.
it seems to absorb the dye with no hardening/stiffening.
This isn't the right place for my question, but don't want to start another. Anyone know of a product or way to remove stains (i.e. lipstick) from reverse leather?
