Thanks for posting Faust, I tried but I'm useless.
It's so nice. The trimming on the jackets is great, fabrics look interesting, colours are nice, proportion is good. Nonchalant dandy.

No problem. You can't post those pictures directly, you need to download them to your computer and then upload them to a photo hosting service. A royal PITA.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

I can see how this can appeal to some people, but this feels like it belongs in CDG. The details are interesting, but they also feel a bit contrived with the colored stitching and whatnot. I like a couple of the jackets, but other than that, I wasn't really feeling this collection personally.

Not as solid as the marvelous collection from last season but still some gems in the jackets. Junya is making wearable clothes I just don't see the comparison to CdG in that sense.Selling CCP, Harnden, Raf, Rick etc.

[quote user="philip nod"]does this reek of thom browne or is it me? a lot of designers keep giving him the nod. he may last longer than you think, faust.

But Junya was doing shrunken proportions--especially jackets--way before Thom Browne, no? [73]

No, I definitely see what you mean about it looking more than a bit like Thom Browne...for me, it's more the English/Brooks Brothers vibe that's doing it though.
Maybe Johnny or nqth can chime in on this, as our resident CDG/Junya experts......I mean the ephemeral, the fugitive, the contingent, the half of art whose other half is the eternal and the immutable.
