I don't know what I think, really. I like the layering of the materials and I like that he continued the sculptural quality of the tops in the boots and leggings, as opposed to just ignoring the bottom half altogether. Almost none of it appeals to my personal aesthetics--too heavy, too "frozen," etc. Reminds me of futurist sculpture more than Lee Bontecou.

I do like these two looks, the first because it's just so elegant and the second because I can almost imagine wearing it...the hat is cute. [85]

Finally, a Rick Owens store in the US! I could have sworn however that there was a rumor going around here about that...can't remember which thread though.

This is my favorite RO womens collection ever. Some of the pieces are just blowing my mind...

A huge no from me. It's ugly and stage-y, as usual for Rick Owens, but there's something more, something especially hateable about this collection. I can't quite put my finger on why I feel such antipathy. It's like a person that other people think is sexy and intelligent and I hate. I want to destroy it! I feel like my mum: I want to scream at the models to get their hair out of their eyes.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the boots either....but I've never seen a boot or any piece of footwear distort the foot/leg like that, so in that regard, I think it's quite cool. Now for every day wear....yea, I don't know about that. (But that kind of goes for a lot of this collection..)
