Umbrellas

SZ'ers, share your knowledge of umbrellas. The most interesting umbrella I know of is made by Senz. It's designed to withstand winds of 70+ mph, perfect for a hurricane [Y].

They used to custom-make sword umbrellas (blade hidden in the handle, think Steed and the Avengers).

SAB occasionally has umbrellas with surface flaws (often quite minor) at staggering discounts. Be prepared to pay $70 for shipping to the US, but it's still an amazing deal.

My little brother saw some video about the umbrella the Phillipine presidential guard or something use, will track it down.

EDIT: Found the video, it's an absurdist masterpiece. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO8G5zsQohg

                      what a thread.

anyway, these are handy. cane + umbrella = it stands on it's own!

thanks guys, after watching videos of the senz umbrella demo on youtube.i was sold and went ahead and ordered one. has a quirky design too. i wish they change up the handle to a curved handle.

that umbrella with stand is pretty cool also!

that senz umbrella is awesome. i just bought an umbrella by Davek (the golf one), so far so good. even with decently high winds, it's steady. only problem is the weight, as it is a bit heavy.
