When I drink my organic coffee(Black!), brewed on a Bodum,
at home, I drink it from a cup that reads Marxism Today.
This is the only cup I use for drinking coffee, and I'm the only
one who's aloud to use it.

My dad told me he updated his art website today and that he put this on there:

notice I had to use a little drain in the street for the headstand because the cobblestones were painful!

I still don't know how you do this Albert. I write it off as magic.

a hobo almost rushed me today and told me "in the gutter nigga, look, we'll all end up in plastic bags anyway". he also seemed unhappy when I thanked him for the info and waved.. strange!

last night as i was on the taxi ride to the pier at about 10 minutes before 2 in the morning i had a pretty existentialist conversation with the driver in which we discussed the state of this city, and the world and mutually agreed upon many things. The ride lasted about 15 minutes, but summed up very well the nature of Hong Kong, and particularly how my perspective on this place had come to change over my years of growing up until its current status. It was the most pleasant cab ride I'd ever had, truly a rare experience in such a babylon of excess, cynicism, cruelty and despair. How strange we come to find ourselves getting to know someone better than some we have known all our lives, despite having spent time together for only a quarter of an hour. Ironically, this is a reflection of how the fondest of social interactions taking place here are often shaped - we live in the "One Night City" where the crack of daybreak resumes the daily shuffle and everything captured the night before will only exist in our memories, never to go forward, never to develop or materialize into anything but just a brief encounter, however memorable or poignant. The fare came down to about $32 - in bidding farewell I addressed him as Mr. ____ as indicated on his Driver ID, gave him $40 and told him to keep the change.

is it wrong to forcefully make strangers engage in conversation? Like trap them in a lift or on a escalator or behind you in a queue
