Haha, I've heard they are notorious for having very bad geography skills (although the ones I've met are fine). A weird fact that I was made aware of recently is the very low percentage of American citizens that actually own a passport. Something like 30%, and supposedly this drastically increased in the last decade. What I heard.

Yeah I was having a conversation with my girlfriend and when she responded with: "I don't know where Russia is" I was just floored in shock. Biggest country in the world? Represents over 10% of the world's land mass? Simply just fucking huge when you look at the world map?

I just ran for the first time since my motorcycle crash six months ago. I'm still not fully healed so I can't maintain the pace for a long time, but I feel like I can finally see the end of the tunnel.

On a marginally related note, I now really dislike it when movies show people jumping out of moving vehicles at 50+ mph (80km/h for the metric folks), tucking and rolling, and getting up without a scratch. I have (unintentionally) tried this. It does not work.
