The problem with the nespresso machines is that you can only use the nespresso capsules with them. For me that is a deal breaker.

I hear that but -> are there any pod/capsule machines that use good beans? beats getting a burr grinder+coffeemaker.

So I got the nespresso concept d290. Its actually the best espresso I've had at home , the creme competes with anything I've had actually and the foam attachment is pretty amazing.

Guess I'm locked in...

Besides, if its good enough for Cloak era Plokhov then...

Not really. There is Joe's on W.13 bet University and 5th - coffee is great, but it's very busy.

Laika, stop giving away my secrets!!! The adore is my favorite place in that area. But they won't sit you unless you eat lunch and it's very busy, so they'll rush you out. Coffee is so-so, but their sandwiches are excellent.

I've also succumbed to Nespresso (I use this machine).

I'm not a functioning person until I've had my first cup in the morning, so I need a machine that any idiot can use. Quality of the coffee (I only buy the "Ristretto" flavor) is good enough, if I want a perfect cup I'll have someone else make it for me. Price is reasonable too. Sure, it costs more than grinding your own, but it also takes much less time.
