My money is on Ann this fall.

I love the trousers as well. They all look to bunch and fit just right.

Initially I wasn't feeling the boots, probably because the first ones look like they're made from velvet and it looks kind of tacky. The rest is good, looks like an old Ann collection to me. I wish she would've showed more footwear in the collection. The brown color she chose is very nice as well.

These were my 2 favorites:

Love the texture in the jacket. It just comes off so perfect with good proportion and everything fits right.

All of the loose knit hanging pieces look amazing, as does the sweater.

Agree on the trousers, they look great. The jacket with what looks like roses is beautiful:

Don't really like the hats, don't mind the boots though. Looks like there are a lot of nice belts, jackets and knits too.

Dji- Somehow I missed those boots! Those look great and you're right, they bear a great similarity with 'the boots.'

my favorite collection yet. although there's nothing terribly new conceptually (i.e., is less than exciting) the whole thing strikes me as a nice evolution from last f/w. I'm especially into the incredible knit



and the muted colors.



I'm trying to escape total blackout in my wardrobe and this seems to be a good collection to turn for help.

(also digging the insane mccabe and mrs. miller style furs)

i'm not fond of those main boots or hats. the pants are cool, but it looks like they may be too hard to pull off without high boots.

great collection as always though and i'm sure it will be stunning when you can peel it apart to see the pieces separate.

Sure it's beautiful but it's also entirely uninteresting. A lot of it seems to be inspired by Carte Blanche which is just safe and lazy plus it seems like she had no ideas for the bottom half, way too top heavy.

i'd use the word "uninteresting" carefully though since fashion has always been about slightly tweaking and updating the past to the present. one of my favorite things about Ann is that she always updates some of her staple pieces to fit with new collections. you can be assured that there will be a large variety of pants to complete the bottom part too.

i think ann, rick (edit: and n9) have been the only collections i've enjoyed this year. i just can't imagine coming back after a few years and looking at most of the collections this season and thinking they were good ideas. sometimes safer is better.

of course, i'm entirely biased though.

hey guess what. I actually liked some of this. the fur coats, especially the big brown one. the oversized knits and scarves looks like what number nine did when they copied ann D.

Thank you Ann!!! This is so good, she got her edge back! Yes, she's done this before (isn't this similar to Faust's favorite collection) but who cares? This is Ann at her best. I will start a savings jar immediately.

Those boots were the first thing that caught my eyes, among other things - some of those trousers look amazing
