Well that's the thing, to me it is not about seduction. I don't advertise my body when I wear a vintage dress with a corset underneath, most people don't find it appealing actually. I wear the corset so I can wear the dress, and I feel good that my body could take that certain unnatural shape (the garments I'm talking about have been designed for women wearing corsets in the first place), even though I would not want to have this shape all the time. I dissociate temporary body shape alteration and seduction.

Now if I felt bad about my waist and wanted it to be slimmer in real life, I would feel even worse wearing a corset because it would be cheating, false advertisement like you said, but also cheating to myself.
That is why I feel bad about push up bras, I see them as false advertisement because putting them on would only result in presenting a more attractive appearance, I don't see any other intereset in them (at least for me, I understand if someone sees them differently).
That is also why I'm afraid of the "bump removing" undergarments, I despise them because when you get to them, it means you have abandonned controlling your body in itself, like you've lost the battle and think that as long as only yourself sees what you truly look like it's doesn't really matter. But if so many women like them, it means that either body control is an illusion that can not be maintained forever, or that the human being has an intrinsical tendency to be lazy and choose the easier solution, and either way that validating your appearance through the eyes of society is perceived as more important than feeling good about it.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Wolford here. They make a lot of great women's lingerie and are masters with hosiery.

As for men's underwear there are a ton of really slutty brands out there but some good ones that I haven't seen listed here are: GrigioPerla, and Hom and some of L'homme Invisible stuff.

I saw a brand in Tokyo at one of the big department stores which looked great because all the edges were just cut so they become invisible under clothing. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the brand but it is probably only available in Japan.

              oh yes, backseam tights...

I'm not a tattoo person myself, but I've seen a few ladies with those lines tattoed onto the backs of their legs and I almost wanted to get it done...

for some reason I don't understand why the line doesn't start at the bottom of the butt, and go all the way down to the base of the foot...and no on the bows

I guess that's where a normal stocking would end, but I agree it would look better starting higher.
I don't think I could get that tatoo ever. What if the guy fucked up the line? you would have crooked seams forever!

Kostas Murkudis for Schiesser did some really nice stuff. Infinitely more sexy than lacy suspenders.

Also Jean Yu, model though needs food badly.

i agree victoria secret for the most part sucks but they had this one bra that is sadly discontinued and it was freaking awesome. cotton, lace, semi demi, push up without padding. it was the perfect everyday bra for me. in fact--when they decided to discontinue it i stocked up and brought as much as i could in my size..so i still have a good dozen left even though its been three years. crazy. i've had to throw away quite a few since the elasticity only lasts so long. and it really helped after i went braless (not cos i wanted to) for more then a half a year.. um.. i just think that bras help you look a lot better braless? and if i'm going to have something that is that intimate with my body i better damn well like how it looks. somedays i feel casual and some days i feel like enticing..and even though *most* people won't see it--it affects my mood just as much as the clothes i wear.
