Thanks for posting zamb, I was just about to! Though you might want to re-host those photos..

let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.
Thanks for posting Zamb!
I never used to care about make-up before, but I can't help feeling the models look really awful, and the hair.. everything is a mess, not in an artistic and good-looking way, but just plain horrible..
I can't say I'm very impressed by the clothes either. After viewing this collection, there is just a little feeling of disappointment left. Times are bad..
zamb that last point about what a recession and business problems can do is just what i was thinking as i scrolled down these pics...thanks for posting. YY seems to have experienced a second wind - this is his freshest and funkiest womens collection in a while. Take that, Balmain.
I've seen those miniskirts a couple times so far. Really digging the longer pieces and the jackets are awesome. Us men are getting the short end again.
good stuff Yohji.. The button up dresses are great. The leathers looks amazing too
WTB: This
I like it overall but feel some of it is hit and miss. I've always thought hair and makeup can either hurt a presentation or seal it in terms of success.
Just thought the horror hair was a bit too much and the makeup was a total fail.
I tend to be attracted to subtlety in presentation...the clothes look wearable but it would be nice to visualize them on a woman who hasn't just climbed out of a freshly covered grave.
The juxtaposition of the shocked geisha/zombie girl wearing the flowered Little House on the Prairie dress seems even extra awkward.
I dunno, I think the hair and makeup goes with the worn vintage-y fabrics. It's like you not only pulled the moth eaten dress out of your great grandmas old chest, but you pulled the model out of the chest as well. This seems very young and edgy for Yohji which is a good thing IMO, nice to know he still has some tricks up his sleeve and can stay current. I'm also surprised by the body hugging fit of much of this, or maybe he's always done this for women but I haven't noticed?
really like the long white shirt-dress thing with the side slit

Save for a couple of pieces, I really don't love it. Way too stiff and contrived, to the point where some of it actually looks like it's done on a really tight budget.
Pretty cool. ^^
Looking for CCP Rain in 50, IS/MA+ loose trousers (IS S/S10!!)
This is stunning. I miss the volume though, and I would imagine some others do too. It's as if someone told Yohji, "Mr., you are a bit old and out of sync, here is what you neeed to to." I really hope that wasn't the case and that Yohji decided to switch gears. Still, many trendmarks are still there - especially itirations of his pure white shirts.
That spiky garter is beyond sexy. I'd eat that woman alive, makeup and all.

i like the shirt dresses--the only place where the structured/puffy shoulders work, imo.
apart from those and the second top (same one that mona likes) i find
this really depressing.the garters are cool in theory, and i could see them working if the clothes were elegant (as yohji's usually are), or quirky (as limi's usually are) but they actually manage to be trashy here.
this is so not yohji!! skinny shredded jeans with puff shouldered jackets? country calico? are things really so bad that he had to jump on the balmain bandwagon? god, i can't believe i wrote that.

If you were some kind of delivery person who made very early morning stops in a gated suburban development, this strikes me as what you'd see at about 7:30 am if you had to knock on any random door.
It's like a well-worn Ann Taylor nightgown meets an overnight facial treatment....just needs a cup of coffee in her hand.
this pretty much reflects my sentiments (save the attraction to the woman with the garter).
some of the looks still seem pretty Yohji. Like the white shirt thing mentioned, and like this one. The fabric looks nice. I'd wear it, styled as is, hair as is, sans makeup.
