          Ann D showroom review

Ann is the Queen, you all know it.
And the Queen is definitely not on the same (financial) level as other designers praised here.

The room shown above was the smallest of the four ones composing the show room, in a huge and beautiful space located Passage de Retz. Most amazing : the columns are the same as the ones from the Couvent des cordeliers were the runway show took place.

Three cabin models were available all the time we spent there, and they were wearing head to toe Ann D's outfits, even when no buyers were asking them to try anything on. The show was keeping on in the showroom... Sometimes they were disappearing, and entered few minutes after in... a new outfit, choosen by in the changing room hidden stylist.
          Talk about profesionnalism ?

I don't really know what to think about this collection, even after having visited the showroom, so I'll keep quiet and only post pics.

I think the footwear looks fantastic. Very sharp and well-designed.

Thank you Christian a million times!

showroom pics look great....the stuff looks interesting, those shirts are lovely. in terms of individual pieces this looks to be very good, but i maintain that when all put together it looks far too historical-costume-drama and, yes, vampirey-goth.

The example of the trousers should maybe the occasion to explain the kind of reluctance I've with this collection.
They're great, of course, with the high and ingeneous waistband, which allows to wear it bunched or folded flat, with their wide thighs and very narrow calf (with a zipper on the back of them), with the integrated belt underlining the waist and balancing the very high waist part.
But I can't help thinking that they're overdesigned though.

                        Waist flat

                        Waist with pleats

Back + Theaddict's feet and legs

                        In black

I thought they looked fantastic on you and the way you styled them not overdesigned at all.

Found this on the trousers' rack, looked like some leather pads.

                              In motion (for Andrewislasorad)

But I'm so stupid, they should not be worn like that, but the other way around, like the cabin model :

I'm so happy that the glass shell cleaning/reordering feather necklaces guy didn't see me, or he would have thrown me out.

                              Disclaimer :
I hope you guys don't mind seeing me on almost each and every pic, spamming shamelessly the forum. If anybody wonders why I do this, I'd say that :
                              1°) I'm a narcissistic prick,
2°) I can't tell anything about the clothes without trying them on and have a precise look at how they fit me.

No worries, it's just a sartorial equivalent of this.
