Last year the seminal experimental musician and underground cultural fixture Genesis P-Orridge was supposed to embark on a tour with her band Psychic TV. Tragically, she was diagnosed with leukemia and had to cancel. Yang Li decided to devote this season of SAMIZDAT, his line of imaginary band merch, to reproduce the merch for the Psychic TV tour that never happened.
This Friday, Yang will join Genesis P-Orridge and Opening Ceremony at the Ace Hotel in New York for a silent auction to raise funds for Genesis’ ongoing treatment. Needless to say we are happy to throw our support behind this, and we hope you can make it to the auction. Genesis and Yang will offer rare memorabilia from both of their personal collections, including limited edition and signed records, books, prints, and of course the SAMIZDAT/Psychic TV merch.
