Over the last few years one of our favorite candlemakers, Cire Trudon, has been expanding their olfactory offerings, much to our delight. This time they have collaborated with painter Dimitri Smilenko to create a decorative art object, L’Œuf, or “the egg”, to diffuse some of their most popular scents. L’Œuf is inspired by the ornamental ostrich eggs one might find in curio cabinets from the 17th and 18th centuries. Each egg is made by hand using ceramic bisque and turned wood. The diffuser oil will last for 3 months of continuous use and are available in their Cyrnos, Abd El Kader, and Ernesto fragrances.
The diffusers are available now and retail at $350 and $90 for refills.
