I like this a lot, the silhouette, the knits, the details. It's all very feminine and serious. I like the looser pants, have always liked them on women.

Ok, now I got to the 2nd part of the show and maybe it's not so serious [:D] Some color combinations definitely don't work and some cuts are too doll-like. But I like a lot of it nonetheless.

I thought this was very adorable. He really made the couture to RTW transition work. I can just imagine that the details are out of this world.
Footwear is crazy!!! [:O] But very Lacroix.

Re: Christian Lacroix FW07/08 - Paris
Perhaps this is a naive comment, but I found these clothes really busy. There are all these decorative flourishes were going horizontally across the waist/lower chest (in the form of belts, embroidery, and the way that the layers landed on each other) that I thought broke up and the flow/movement of the outfits--making the models seem pencil-thin and static. I understand that Lacroix is crazy about details, but I felt like the individual pieces were fighting each other...

[quote user="nairb49"]I really like this, I feel like he's come a long way. I can't say I've ever really been a fan of his menswear though. Maybe soon....

He has menswear? I didn't know that.
Seventh, yes, Lacroix gives a lot of attention to decorating - I don't think he's going to get away from that. I'm just glad he's found a new financial backer and do this.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
