Whoa: Quite a bit more consistent than previous women's collections from Damir.
The close-cut silhouettes are working very well here.
The strong/confident/modern woman he talks about is actually emerging from this collection.

wow, impressive. very streamlined but i fear you need to be over 5'10" to wear most of it.

I really wonder how much Samuel Drira has had a hand in this - it's quite disturbing to see how heavily the Encens touch is hanging over this collection, similarily to Matthew Ames' work of the last few years, as well as some of Kris van Assche's latest Dior Homme outings.

Actually, it's more the other way around.

You might know better about this one, but I find the aesthetic parallels between those afore mentioned designers to be way too close nowadays... particularly taking into account that Drira works with all three of them and thus regularly gives them particular spotlight in his magazine.

It's understandable, but really, I don't see it as a much better example than when I see someone like Emmanuelle Alt and some of her downtown-Paris-by-the-way-of-Kate-Moss'-closet stylings with Christophe Decarnin and Isabel Marant (you can hardly remember that she's actually been a decent designer at some point of her career after her collection was turned into yet another Grunge-'It'-Girl go-to destination)...

I think with drawing such a comparison, it's necessary to mention that it's the influence of stylists as a whole that I find disturbing - there are people who merely help to edit the existing work (such as with Panos Yiapanis or Alistair McKimm) and there are others that clearly leave a stamp on the work of their clients.

I don't disagree, but the parallels do not determine causality. It's more like work in tandem, and it's not easy to clearly say who influences who.

                        ^Can you share more details?
Big fan of Drira's work as well as the work of Damir, Ames and Fabrics Interseason.
So, I'd be interested to know any interesting details/insights about the creative process/relationship between Drira and the designers mentioned here.
