Really wondering how long this brand will exist. Major stores keep dropping it (Most recent even Darklands) - new stores try their look (PNP) but most drop it after a few seasons.
To be honest, his lookbooks and shootings keep getting worse and worse, his first collections really were the best. Wondering if this "pop trash" is his true face?

The art direction of the recent lookbooks leaves much room for improvement, especially the "Creepy guy follows a woman through Chinatown" one.
And the male model in this one has a very punchable face."The only rule is don't be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in."

Sometimes it is brands that drop stores and not the other way around. Either way, a brand or a store might have very good reasons for ending a relationship............
Your posts on this forum, all 25 seems rather pessimistic regardless of the brand or product you are speaking about“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

LEB is one of the most unique and original designers to come about in this Artisanal market for a long time
his clothes are not for everyone and certainly not for every store.
As the Great Geoffrey Beene once said (paraphrasing the Apostle Paul)
- We do not wish to be all things to all men -
The hypocrisy of some people is on the one hand the accuse some designers of copying and thus having no integrity, on the other hand designers like LEB are too "out there"
Thankfully, the success of a brand is not left to internet opinions..... nor even stores anymore.
Some of these stores are a headache to deal with, other times a designer might find his/ her brand dealing with too many stores and decide to scale back.
Look at what Geoffrey Said in a couple of his previous post. He will have to shed some stores because its just not sustainable to deal with so many stores when working where you are making the product on house..........
In all fairness to Darklands, I have seen and heard a lot of horror stories from customers, but I have never heard any designer talk bad about dealing with them. I have also dealt with Campbell as a designer and he has always been responsive and polite and actually better to deal with that a lot of others I've had to deal with in this businessLast edited by zamb; 01-29-2019, 02:16 PM.“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”
