I've liked Sing the Sorrow onwards. Their lyrics have more depth than what I used to listen to. Admittedly the only music I know is mainstream, so maybe there is better music out there that is similar to AFI, but I don't know of any. Of the mainstream I know though, I think AFI is better than most.
